About the event

Celebrating the Harvest Season: Yoga & Foraging at Sydhavnstippen

As summer slowly gives way to autumn, nature is at its most generous. Nature is full of berries, fruits, and plants ready to be  gathered, while the days begin to soften and we move towards the Autumn Equinox. This event is an invitation to slow down, connect with our bodies and spend some time immersed in the abundance of the season.

We will begin with a slow, grounding yoga practice and meditation, using movement, breath and stillness to arrive in our bodies  and connect with the earth beneath us. From there, we will head out onto Sydhavnstippen for a gentle foraging walk, exploring what the landscape has to offer. Depending on what is available, we will look for sea buckthorn (havtorn), blackberries, apples, and  other edible plants and fruits we may come across. There will be plenty of time to wander, observe, learn and gather at our own  pace.

We will finish by gathering together for tea and a small taste of our harvest, with the option to bring some of what we have  gathered home with us. I will also share simple ideas, suggestions, and recipes for how to use your harvest afterwards. The event is not about collecting as much as possible, but about cultivating a closer relationship with the landscape around us — learning to notice what is growing, what is in season, and what the earth is offering us right now.

About the Facilitator

My name is Line, and I am a yoga teacher with more than 10 years of personal yoga practice. For me, yoga is much more than a  physical practice. It is a way of coming into a deeper relationship with myself, my body, and the world around me. Through  movement, breath, meditation and presence, yoga has taught me to listen more closely — to the body, to nature and to the  rhythms and seasons of life.

I love bringing this perspective off the mat and into nature, creating spaces where movement, curiosity, nourishment and  connection can meet.

My interest in foraging began already in childhood, sparked by a curiosity about the plants, fruits and fungi growing around me. In  2015, I took my first introductory foraging course, and since then I have continued to deepen my knowledge through courses,  personal study and, most importantly, many years of foraging on my own. Over the years, I have gathered a wide variety of wild  foods, including fruits, berries, herbs, seaweed and mushrooms.

For me, foraging is a way of slowing down and paying closer attention to the landscape — learning to recognise what grows  around us, what is in season, and how we can respectfully make use of what nature offers.

During the event, I will be guiding both the yoga practice and the foraging, sharing my knowledge with a particular focus on the  edible plants and fruits that are in season at Sydhavnstippen.

No previous yoga or foraging experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to slow down and explore.
