Traditional guided practice of 108 Sun Salutations
A gradual, mindful entry into the Sun Salutation flow
Space to rest, modify, and reconnect throughout
Closing rest and integration time
Why 108?
The number 108 carries spiritual and symbolic meaning across traditions. It’s the number of energy lines (nadis) converging at the heart chakra, the number of beads on a mala, and the approximate ratio between the Earth and Sun’s distance and the Sun’s diameter. Practicing 108 rounds becomes a moving meditation—steady, transformative, and powerful.
Why on the Summer Solstice?
The solstice marks the longest day of the year—a time to honor light, energy, and renewal. Across cultures, it's been a moment of ritual and reflection. Practicing together on this day connects us to the rhythms of nature and to a global community celebrating International Yoga Day.
What is Surya Arghya?
Surya Arghya is a traditional offering to the sun, often involving water or gesture, done at sunrise or before solar practice. In this session, it’s a brief and simple way to begin the experience with intention and gratitude.
